Yang Exercise: Make Me A Boxer!
I find when life gets particularly stressful, yoga just isn't enough to defuse my stress and frustration. I've learned in my years of practice and coaching that adrenaline is the one ingredient that can create internal calm during intense times of stress. If you find that you can't take the edge off with your current regimen, throw some Yang Exercises into your program. Here's one to get you started:
Yang Exercise: Make Me A Boxer! 5k Interval Trail Run: 45 second run 85% effort/2min speed walk 15% effort approximately 20-30mins
5 Rounds: 15 GHD Slow GHD Sit Ups (count “One Mississippi” as you slowly rise up) 15 GHD Slow Back Extensions (count “One Mississippi” as you slowly rise up) 15 Double Unders 3 Minute Heavy Bag Boxing Set: 30 Second Work, 30 Second Rest approximately 12-15mins
*Equipment needed: Heavy bag, wraps or gloves, GHD, jump rope, an open trail
