Kiara McBain e-RYT500, YACEP
Teaching yoga since 2011, Kiara has taught classes at yoga studio, gyms, resorts, corporate offices, juvenile centers and country clubs. She has taught to at-risk youth, celebrities, varying kinds of athletes, individual’s suffering with physical and psychological illness and to advanced and beginning yogis. Recognized by lululemon athletica as an exceptional yoga instructor, Kiara has been a lulu ambassador since March of 2016.
Kiara's personal practice spans nearly twenty years and in that time she has learned from innumerable teachers. However, it was her years working for Yoga Journal magazine that she holds most dear. Kiara's time on the Yoga Journal Events team afforded her the opportunity to practice and learn from most of the world-renowned yoga instructors.
It was this diverse exposure to world renowned yoga instructors, coupled with extensive extra curricular studies, that led to Ki Yoga. The name was born from the Japanese concept of life-force energy and her personal nickname, Ki. Kiara's journey healing from PTSD had its cornerstone in yoga, but wasn't complete without the help of other healing modalities. Over the course of several years, Kiara worked to combine these modalities to the refined form of alignment-based yoga she teaches. Ki Yoga is a passion she hones and continues to craft everyday she's on the mat or with students. Ki Yoga is her offering to the world to manage stress and to find ultimate healing.
"I RECENTLY TRIED HER MOUNTAIN YOGA CLASS AND THE WHOLE TIME I FELT AS IF SOMEONE NEEDED TO PINCH ME AND BRING ME BACK TO REALITY! AN AWESOME HIKE, WITH YOGA SESSIONS IN BETWEEN AND A SOCIAL (OPTIONAL) GATHERING FOR A LATE LUNCH AFTER. IT WAS A GREAT TIME, AND I LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT ONE! "
